Why we give
The Bible teaches us a baseline standard for giving. When we give the first fruit to the church, we put God first in our lives. Generosity is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others.
God provides for the ministry of Authentic Church through your generosity. We honor your gifts with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of Authentic remains beyond reproach.
Important Information:
With Nucleus Giving, the fees associated with debit/credit card giving will be made known to you on the front end of the online giving process. You may not have known every penny you gave to our church did not go to the church thanks to transactional fees and online giving platform providers taking a portion of your giving (see explanation below).
From now on, ALL of EVERY GIFT will go to Authentic Church.
No one else's hands are in it.
It's between you and God.
Cash and check giving is always fee free. Card giving will have the minimum card transaction fee, less than you see from the growing amount of businesses charging fees for using your debit or credit card.
The easiest way to digitally give and avoid most of the fee is this:
Link your bank account with Plaid in the new giving platform, and you'll only pay 25 cents for each transaction.
Giving used to be simple. You put a little cash in the plate as it was passed, or perhaps dropped a check in the box at the back as you left. But somewhere along the line, things changed. Technology replaced the traditional, and from there it got messy, really expensive, and sadly, quite a bit sneaky.
You see, people came to churches selling us the wonders of online giving, but with pricing models created for business. And they convinced us it was the only way. So instead of honest, Biblically-shaped solutions that respect the sacred nature of giving, we got stuck with providers that take a bit of money from each tithe and offering.
Surprised? You’re not alone. They hide it pretty well. But just because it’s hidden, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. As each dollar is donated digitally, your giving provider reaches in and keeps a little bit for themselves. From every tithe. Every offering. No exceptions. No cap. Often while promoting their solution as “free” or "$0 per month."
Now, imagine if one of those providers stood there as the plate was passed in our church, and at the end of every pew, they pocketed a handful of bills. You’d be shocked and scandalized. Yet this same exact scenario has been playing out in churches for well over a decade now, every single time someone gives online to a church. It’s just been hidden from view.
