Plan To Stay

A 24-month, church-wide effort to raise funds for the development of a permanent home for Authentic Church.

We all need a place. A place to settle. A place to feel fulfilled. A place for gathering with friends. A place for families to flourish. A place to grow spiritually. A place to serve. A place to be rooted. A place...to stay.

For us to have a place to stay, we must have a plan to stay; a strategy that will take us from being a portable church to being permanently rooted in Westchester County.

For over six years, Authentic Church has been a place where many have found real life in Jesus and decided to follow him completely. For some of us, that journey began when we rented Post Road School in our beginning stages; for others, it was the movie theater in Mamaroneck, and for many of us it has been our current location, the PlayGroup Theater.

While all these venues have been great for us; they haven’t been home. In this document, you’ll see our plan to make the message captured in Jeremiah 29:1-7 come to life.

I’m inviting you to participate in one of the greatest endeavors ever: rooting a local church. For more lives to be rescued, it will take every single one of us contributing our time, talents and financial resources. I’m confident that our unified passion for meaning, mission, and ministry will undergird our efforts. This is a generosity initiative that will change and enhance every part of our lives.

Not too long from now we’ll stand together in our permanent location saying, “there’s no place like home.”

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives he has exiled to Babylon from Jerusalem: “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away! And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”

The Plan Ahead

What Going from Portable to Permanent Will Provide:

A visible and permanent location tailored to express our vision in all environments and way to better serve the county.

A vibrant and central hub for various ministries such as life groups, Point A to Be, and other opportunities to serve our vision owners and community stakeholders well.

We will not be landlocked to only host two gatherings which will give us room to reach more people with the gospel.

An immediate resolve to the space and environment issues for AuthenticKids, supplying a state of the art kids facility.

A venue for weekly staff, trustee and team leader meetings.

Rehearsal space for our Worship and Creative Arts teams.

Focused on providing a space where our children and students can Know God, Grow Together & Show Love.

The Goal:

$500,000

toward securing a down payment for permanent space.
